hues of purple and grey will look great with black

hues of purple and grey will look great with black

For some reason I have an excessive amount black in my closet. I don’t intend to always wear black but somehow I end up wearing head to toe black more often then I’d like to admit. I don’t even intend to buy it every time I see it in the store but for some reason the bright colors never go with anything in my closet when I get them home. I’m all for mixing black with color but if not done well, you risk looking like a young female executive circa 1984 or a fifteen year old girl circa 1992. I find that adding a great piece of jewelry, in a complimentary or contrasting color, can take my all black outfit from funeral director to elegant fashionista, in under a minute. I love Rock Star Jewelry because of her pieces are so sophisticated and sometime extravagant they can be a real conversation piece that ties the whole look together. The Seattle-based designer personally hand-selects all the semi-precious gems used in her collection. She meticulously hand-strings each stone to create the beautiful pieces. I am in heart with this great dark chunky necklace because it’s still somehow very delicate but has something to say,  and has just enough color to pop that little black dress.  Work it girl!
